The Mallo Trail is a fun trail that takes in a variety of landscapes. It is the only trail in Weston County that traverses through a spruce forest. The majority of forested areas in the county are ponderosa and juniper. The trail is located past Mallo camp off of Beaver Creek Rd. about 20 miles north of Newcastle, WY.
The trail begins on land owned by Weston County, traverses a portion of US Forest Service, and ends on land managed by the BLM.

The trail is about 4.5 miles and invites everyone to take in the beauty of the Black Hills and the varied landscapes of Northeast Wyoming.
